Memorial Day Marshmallow Roast

We had a wonderful weekend with a lot of our family in town, and since we were all bummed out from the rainy weather that we couldn't go camping, we decided we'd light up the fire in the backyard and have a marshmallow roast! Mmmm Smores! The kids had a great time, especially Aldon making 4 smores, and Adi munchin on graham crackers the whole night! My mom and Dad were also there but didn't get pictures of em somehow, oops. All in all it was a pretty fun weekend and evening pretend camping in the backyard!

They light up the temple every night, and the clouds (from the approaching storm) were all different colors. The temple looked so cool from our backyard that night!

Oh how fun you're so close to family!! And the temple!! I'm loving it!

We made s'mores Friday night with Nate & Megan but took the shortcut approach with fudge covered graham crackers instead of the real deal: hersheys, plain graham crackers & big marshmallows. DEFINITELY not as good. Glad you got a little "camping fun" in even if the weather wasn't holding up!
