The things they say...

Me: Did you have fun at school today? What did you learn today?
Aldon: Umm we learned about space.
Me: Oh, what about space, the stars, planets?
Aldon: No, we learned that the Sun stays still and the Earth spins around it! So it gets light, dark, light, dark, on our state. That's why it is sunny right now, because we are facing the sun!

Then Adi points to window and says: "Nice" (referring to the weather)

These kids just get smarter all the time, and I absolutely love how Aldon loves to learn and pays attention to detail! He still amazes me.

This last weekend my sister called me on my cell phone and Aldon answered it-
Kate: Hey bud, whatcha doin?
Aldon: Umm, nothin
Kate: What's your mom doing?
Aldon: She's craftin (which sounds like crackin)
Kate: Oh, she's cooking? Yum what's she making? are you helping her?
Aldon: Uhhhhhhhhh........ Here mom
He hands me the phone with this really confused look on his face and turns to Mark as he asks Aldon who was on the phone, and then
Aldon says: It was Katie and she was Just Getting All Carried Away!

It was so funny cuz he said craftin, she thought he said cookin, and he just acted like it was pathetic that she was going on about cooking! He wasn't upset, he was like Uhhh, I dunno what your saying, so here talk to my mom! Even funnier he re-inacted it for me when I got off the phone, cuz Mark was laughing so hard at Aldon saying She was All Carried Away!

Adi says the cutest things lately and has been copying things we say now in sentences!

When it's time for bed and we say time for night night, she'll say: "I'm hunnry" (hungry)
We repeat it : " You're hungry?"
Adi: "Ya" while nodding her head violently!
-She's learned that if she says this, she doesn't have to go to bed right away, and she gets a snack....the sneaky little booger!

She can copy just about any word we say now, but here's some cute phrases =

cuze meee : (Excuse Me)
owwwside? owwwside? : (everyday she says this pointing out the door to go play)
mac eese: (Mac n Cheese)
Bob bob: (SpongeBob, since her Brother always asks to watch it)
Sheeeese: ( picks up camera and holds it up to her face)
K T, ooh rrr u? : ( Katie, where are you? or any other name, same thing)
