My sweet 3yr old monkey....

....we've called her a monkey ever since she was little... for a good reason...
she is busy busy busy!

(the scabs on her face are from her running & turfing it on the gravel....thus...busy!)


A little look back of my "Adi monkey"

... At 1 month old we flew with her to Hawaii and we didn't know it then but us watching the guy climbing a coconut tree must have inspired her to do the same.... because from the very start she has been an active busy monkey!! At 6 months we'd find her rolling under the Christmas tree climbing on the presents pulling off all the bows...she would be more entertained with the ribbons than with any of the gifts she received that year. At 1 yr old... she started walking and would stack her toys up so that she could climb up onto the couch, onto the table, and onto the masterbed. At 15 months old...(only 3 months after learning to walk)... we were out in the yard and I look over and can't find Adi anywhere, we checked all around the house and eventually as I'm calling out her name...Aldon yells out she's at the top of the jungle gym (click here)! Yup she can walk up & climb a wood ladder all by herself! At 18mo... we found her on top of the counter, pulled the drawers out like steps and climbed up... which then continued onto her climbing up from the counter to the top of our fridge to get the candy bowl down! At 2 years... she climbed up onto a donkey (click here) and rode it all by herself, w/out mom holding onto her! She is very independent and has no fear. At 2 1/2 yrs... we are at Aldon's soccer game and she is playing by the trees behind us, when I look back to check on her, she has climbed up the tree hanging sideways by her arms and legs from a branch, laughing and yelling "Mommy, wook at me I'm a munkeeeee"!

..... Yes..... she is a Monkey! A very busy, curious, and actively sweet monkey!

So now at 3yrs old...
my silly monkey has her own crazy bubble ball... to get all of that energy out of her!
I can't believe Adilynn is 3! It really seems to have gone by so fast! She is looking so much older to me now...3 Things that make her seem so much older:
1) she finally has enough hair to put in lots of little pigtails...
2) she is fully potty-trained now...
and 3) she has her own Big Girl Bedroom Upstairs,
which she loves to be independent in her own room upstairs by her brother's room; she gets outta bed herself in the morning, turns off her fan, & runs downstairs to watch cartoons until mom & dad get up ;)
She has such a fun personality, and keeps us laughing right along with her!

Lots of thanks to friends and family for all the birthday wishes and gifts!
So much fun & so many fun presents! We had a nice BBQ, then we had a Pink Pinata that you pull ribbons to find the one that empties out the candy...it was hilarious as you'll see from the video below. Then we opened presents and she was spoiled with lots of fun "pink" toys...(which is all she asked for...just pink...hee hee)! She had a wonderful 3rd birthday!
