Cute Things My Kids Say

This summer is just flying by and now it's already the last day of July. This post is for journaling purposes so feel free to skip over it if you like. My friend told me about this site that takes your blog and turns it into a hardbound book , pictures and all...so I am going to start putting more things about our kids on here as kind of a family history bk, since we all know I am so bad at keeping a journal!!! We have been so busy and have had so many fun visitors this month, we've had friends and family stay here every single weekend this month which has just been a blast, but crazy busy! We had our friends Devon & Jesse here the first weekend, then my sister & hubby Katie & Brady the next weekend, then Mark's brother & wife Mike & Kelsie the next, then my sis again this last weekend, and then my brother & sis in law Scott & Oksana are coming this whole next week to stay and play!! So we have just had a party central house all summer and now when we have a weekend without anyone here, we may go into withdrawals....and won't know what to do with ourselves!

My kids have been saying the cutest things these past couple of months: here's a few:

Aldon~ "Mommy can you teach me some new tricks, cuz I don't know very many?"
Me~ "Sure, what do u want to learn?"
Aldon~ " I don't know" Me ~ "Well what kind of tricks are u thinking?"
Aldon~ "Um, just all kinds. Will u teach me all the tricks you know!"
Me~ " Wow, all the tricks I know! How about winking your eye?"

Aldon~ " I already know that trick. I guess I know some better ones than you, so nevermind I don't need your help" (so cute and so sad at the same time, i started laughin as he walked away, all smart like)
Yup, "Rockband" was that good!

Adi~ pointing at the puppies poo-poo on the tile floor says: "Ohh Wooooow" (as she's reaching to pick it up)


Aldon~ has a red cup (we poured all his money out of his piggy bank into it, to count & pay tithing on) and reaches his hand into my cup filled with ice water & exclaims "Ohh!" and looks shocked! Me: "What are you doing?"
Aldon: "I thought that was my cup filled with money? Where'd my money go?"
Me: "You used it to buy the fishing pole, remember?"
Aldon: "But how will I get more money?
Me: "By doing chores and helping out mommy, I will pay you some money"
Aldon: "But, if MY money is all gone - where do I get more"
Me: " Well, I will give you some of "my" money when you help out & then it will become your money."
Aldon " You will! Oh mom, thank you for sharing your money with me" and gives me a huge hug.



Aldon: "Mom, did u know that I'm not the only Aldon in the world?"
Me: "I didn't know that, I thought you were the only one"
Aldon: "I know I did too, but Colton has a neighbor named Aldon too! That's crazy huh mom!"
~ I come to find out from Coltons' mom ~ the neighbor's name is Holden, it's just neither of the boys can pronounce it!


Aldon: playing the Nin Wii at tennis: "Wow, Colton you just bringed up the heat!" on one of the power serves. (Mark once made a comment when playing with Aldon like: watch out I'm gonna bring the heat on this one!)

Aldon's cute one liners: ~ Ya, supra fast! ~ Watch out I'm tricky! ~ Dis is my bestest golf swing ever! ~ I'm gonna get bigger and bigger like Daddy huh? and one day I'll be huge!

Adi ~ anytime she hears a cell phone ring, she'll pick up a toy or hold her hand to her ear and say " Ayo?" even in the store when someones rings far away!


Me: "Are you all done with your picture? ~ (paint on picture computer)
Aldon: "Nope, gotta wait for the paint to dry"


Aldon: "Mom, I'm getting boring!" (said while shopping)

Adi~ gives high fives, and gives them anytime someone opens their hand. My mom asked Adi to give her what was in her mouth, and Adi slapped her hand with a high five. Made us all laugh and able to grab out the toy in her mouth.

Aldon's smart questions (new ones everyday): How do eyelids move? How do they make walls? How do your muscles move? How does the sun go around the world? How does the world go around? How do they make carpet? What are fibers? How do they make plastic?

~Some of those towards the end, even I would have to ask???

Tonight Aldon came downstairs after being put to bed and said crying "Mom, I miss Daddy, I didn't get to see him very long" (Mark was at the Blackfoot Car Auction & golf tournament today, then got home and had to go do Security gaurd tonight at the Temple open house.) So we called him and Aldon starts out by saying: " So Dad, I need to tell you Everything" (and went on to tell him all about his fun day at the new Arctic Circle tonight) this kid loves his dad! And so do I!
