My sweet little valentine baby! Believe it or not she is actually sick in all of these pictures, thus I couldn't get a smile, but thought they were cute anyway. We have all had our share of the Flu this last week, pretty yucky. It is going around, and pretty sure Aldon got it from a boy at preschool last week and then Adi got it on Tuesday and then I got it on Wed. (of course, since we had plans to travel to Utah that night)! So we had to change all our plans and we stayed home all week. No pre-school or swimming lessons for Aldon, he was pretty bummed he couldn't go to his valentine party at preschool on thurs. So here we sit all three sickies, trying to re-cooperate. The one positive is that I have had a lot of time to do fun hobbies, like trying to catch up on Adi's scrapbook, and making more bead bracelets and necklaces. Also, I can finally post some new pictures on our blog! Despite being trapped inside all week, it has been nice to have time just to cuddle with my sweet kids. Sure on regular days I typically hold Adi all day long and play games with Aldon and chase them around while trying to juggle housework and job and church callings. I think I forget how nice it is to stop and smell the roses (which my husband got me beautiful roses & caramels for V-day, thanx sweetheart!) with all the crazy busy lives we lead, I really don't just sit and hold my babies and fall asleep cuddling with them piled on me anymore. This week we did, and I loved it! I loved resting on the couch having Adi in one arm asleep and Aldon snuggled up on the side of my other arm. I guess you could say I have learned my lesson and will slow down to appreciate the snuggle times with my kids.....like my mother always says "there will be dirty dishes and chores to do day after day, but your young children will not always stay that way". It has been wonderful to not do ....'anything' really this week, other than to just lay around and hold my kids.
A couple of times though, it almost made me kinda anxious feeling like I hadn't checked the calendar, what appts. was I missing, what things hadn't been done, where I was suppose to be running the kids to.... but that feeling quickly faded as I reminded myself....awww we're sick....everything else can wait.

I have so many reasons to feel loved this Valentine's, and mainly because of my sweet family. My husband helped out so much - constantly waking up with the kids in the middle of the night to them coughing and throwing up, and helping me change their beds, or rocking Adi back to sleep & getting bottles at the crack of dawn, so that I could try to sleep between my own coughing and restless nights. He surprised me with Roses and chocolate caramels yesterday, and planned Chinese for dinner, which I love. So the dreaded Valentines Day didn't turn out so horrible after-all. He is the sweetest guy and I am lucky to have him: as a loving husband, a best friend, and a wonderful Daddy to our children. Thanks Mark, I love you too. Happy Valentine's Day!
******** ********************************************************************** These clips of Adi are hilarious (at least to us)! She is starting to make little blowin raspberries/ tootin noises with her mouth and then she starts dancin to herself makin these noises, so Mark starts makin a Beatbox rap-beat noise with his and she looks like a Valentino drunk dancer!
Well, at least we laughed to it!

Hey Trish thanks, I can't get on your blog, it said it is a private one and I have to have an invite. I don't have your email address either to contact you, so we'll text Jarem.
Miss Adi is just adorable!! We have all been sick around here too! I can't get over it, I've had it for three weeks! It is really fun to just lay around and have lots of cuddle time. I am so glad that everything went well for Amanda and the baby...did she do the whole mid-wife thing? Deliver at home? She is brave! We are thinking about heading up that way for Conference...will you guys be around? Have a good day!! ~dev
By the way I am SO jealous of your girls day!! I saw your post on it and it inspired me to make Aida some new hair bows and flowers and I did it ALONE!! Pity party for me!! What the BreAnn is prego!! How far along??
Jaylynn I'm so glad to have found your blog also! Your kids are too cute for words!
Happy Birthday!
I haven't been on my blog all month. It's fun to see your cute video of Adi. Sorry to hear everyone has been sick at your house. It sounds funny, but I have been wanting Berkley to get sick just so life can slow down and we can cuddle. Like you said...days fly by and it's nice to just relax. My house for girl's day next Friday! I forgot to mention that today. Thanks for being a great friend!
Sounds like your week was a lot like mine, except Tommy wasn't sick so he was just going stir crazy while I lounged around. I did actually rock him to sleep for a nap though cause I wanted a nap myself...I haven't done that for months!! I wish I had time to do it every day, I had to pry his hands from around my neck to put him in his crib!!!
